How the dogs live
Come and go as they please
Bats circle in one window and out the other
A strange pile of dust stuff gathers in my middle of my balcony
Geckos on the ceiling
On the walls
Nibble on spiders that crawl over the window lip
The fat rat I can’t bother to trap
Its babies nestled in my dresser drawer
Standoff between the stunted lizard and the praying mantis
Chameleon caught by a cat
Resting on its shoulder for hours
The untraceable being that never stops howling
Bound monkeys harvest coconuts
Dragonflies dance like a school of fish in the trees
An impossible baby sloth crosses the night road
Layered with the corpses of a million mosquitos
And fleas
